Dear Reader,
I am taking a few days off from writing. I am traveling with my two daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren to Cancun, Mexico for a few days. Have some fun, play like a kid again, get to know MY kids again, meet a few new people, and make some precious memories. Time to shake a few cobwebs out of my mind and perhaps become a little more flexible in my life. Traveling does all this and more for me. Opens my mind and makes me a better person, more loving, more interested in life, more available for the next great adventure coming around the corner. Words like expectations, anticipations, surprises, abundance, creativity, and empowerment all push their way to the front of my thoughts if I ask myself what traveling can do for me.
In his book, SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE, Stephen Covey writes that the number seven habit is “sharpen the saw”. That, Dear Reader, is exactly what I plan to do the next few days, in all aspects of my life. I shall rest and relax, laugh and play, dream and manifest, and pray.
No worries about Reddogg and Pan, a couple of very special people in my family will be staying at Our Treehouse to take care of them. And I WILL be back. That too, is one of the best things about traveling, it’s always simply marvelous to come back home.
I will take a few pictures, and knowing me, I will write a short post or two, things I want to share with you. Which I know, is not completely taking a few days off, but I will keep it simple, and writing is so fun for me!
c Love, Joan
